The founder of K-Glez Cleaning Services is Omar Gonzalez. He's a first-generation immigrant to the United States from Mexico. Omar's first job in the Little Apple was at McDonald's, and from there he worked as a CNA at Mercy Regional Health Center for seven years. He and his wife, Karla, then started K-Glez Cleaning Services and it's now one of the largest cleaning companies in Manhattan. Today's story is the definition of inspiration. Omar Gonzalez is a cancer survivor, a true entrepreneur, and a good man.

Matt Gourlay took over as superintendent at Colbert Hills Golf Course at the age of 22...a full year before he graduated from K-State. The financial outlook for the course, and the entire golf industry, wasn’t optimistic. For 10 years Gourlay’s budget never increased a dollar...and it was that adversity that forced him to think outside the box. He created an entirely new way to conserve water and establish mowing patterns that earned him the title of national golf course superintendent of the year in 2015.

New Health is a medical practice that was opened in Manhattan by former K-State football player Dr. Ekwensi Griffith and his wife Angela in 2015. New Health now has locations in Topeka & Lenexa and employs more than a dozen medical professionals like Jami Potter, a former K-State volleyball player and nurse practitioner, who the Griffiths' call "the LeBron James" of their staff. New Health uses a team approach that reflects a genuine passion for helping patients achieve a healthy and confident lifestyle.
