  • Rebuilding 021 with Scott Aaron

    13/04/2020 Durata: 31min

Find your Pick and Your Axe. Fear is a Choice You should be leaving your legacy Now! From Scott: Well, I would say two things, fears of choice. So that's number one, you know, we choose to be fearful, you know, and it's about living in the future. And you know, we create stories all the time and we can't allow those stories in our head to dictate how our life ends up going. And again, it's really easy with what is being facilitated on social media. What's being facilitated in the news it's it's really easy to get sucked into that drama and the the the fear that is being instilled out there. But again, it's your choice. You can either be live in fear, or you can be enlightened, and you can be excited about this time and I know people may be listening to that and saying, How the hell can you be excited about the time right now? Well, What I can tell you is that, you know, opportunity knocks in the most inopportune times. Absolutely. And, you know, a lot of people may feel that we're we're in this this dark tunn

  • Rebuilding 016 Friendship

    24/12/2019 Durata: 33min

A man killed himself the other day. Oh, how sad. Did he have a family? I would usually ask when someone delivered this all too frequent news. But this one was different. This man I knew his name was Jeremy. I am sad to say I didn't know him as well as I would have liked. I was thought he could be a good friend. We belong to the same group that served other men. He was a leader and a great example to all he lifted everyone he met. His smile was infectious. I met his wife at one event. They were a perfect match, handsome with beautiful, happy and healthy. He was a father. I met his son. He had three other kids, but I didn't know that until I saw it on Facebook. He drove a nice truck and he had a boat. He golfed a lot. I knew he did something in construction, but we never talked about it. I would describe him as a man's man. He was present at every event we held except for a recent meeting when he sent his regrets because it was his wife's birthday picture, perfect life, and now he's dead. He always asked every

  • Rebuilding 014 Be Grateful

    04/12/2019 Durata: 04min

Be grateful. No matter how awful your life seems at the moment, you have something to be grateful for. Focus on it with the laser-like, single-minded devotion of a dog eyeing a porterhouse. You have been granted 2 billion seconds on this planet, give or take. You are a billionaire! Many billionaires, however, squander most of their fortune on bitter recriminations about how unfair everything is. Many of them are right, and it really is unfair. But you won’t get a refund from the universe for the time you spent brooding about the unfairness. You lose them just as surely as a second spent experiencing joy, only they don’t even give you something nice to remember them by. Megan McArdle After 45 Birthdays, Here Are ‘12 Rules for Life’ Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.”   ― Buddha

  • Rebuilding 013 Discipline

    25/11/2019 Durata: 07min

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure. -Jim Rohn

You cannot believe what it does to the human spirit to maximize your human potential and stretch yourself to the limit.” - Jim Rohn   We all have a flawed mental map.  By facing our fears and overcoming those things that stand in our way, we grow and redraw our mental maps

  • Rebuilding 009 with Lark Galley

    24/06/2019 Durata: 39min

My son experienced suicidal thoughts 3.5 years before his suicide. We thought it was all cleared up and fine. What we didn't realize is he'd just gone into a holding pattern. This is important for parents to be aware of. When a clinically depressed person starts feeling better, it's probably because they have a plan. Also, my father had died by suicide 5 years earlier. I was so traumatized I couldn't talk about it until now. I believe talking about my son's suicide and DECIDING that something good would come from it has helped me find meaning in this terrible event.   Another component is the overwhelming grief and fallout our family is dealing with. I'm now having to focus an extreme amount of time and energy on holding us together. So many families fall apart when something like this happens because they allow blame to creep in. It's important to let it go. We have regrets but blame and guilt help no one.   I've done a complete 180 in my focus. I've created an online course called Emotional Self-Reliance. I

    21/05/2019 Durata: 59min

What I called magical thinking can also be thought of as the power of prayer, correctly applied - that is, it's not wishful thinking or begging for reward, but a focused version of the prayer for strength (which, to my mind, is one of the only two prayers worth making, and the only one that is answered - the other worthwhile prayer is the prayer of gratitude). It's about aligning yourself and the universe and asking the divine for the strength to change yourself and your life. -Chirag Patel
