He specialize in working with those whose lives have been impacted by trauma. Dr. Van Wyk is also the senior behavioral health provider for the Minnesota Army National Guard with a current rank of Major. He's a veteran having deploy in 2019 in support of Operation Spartan Shield. He's also the founder and president of the Minnesota Trauma Project. In this session we discover trauma, the military culture, and masculinity within that culture. We also explore the emotional deprivation that one has during a deployment setting.
