It's been a minute since we've had someone at Google on the show, so I was really excited to have the chance to interview Melissa Smith, a user experience researcher at Google working primarily on the YouTube mobile and desktop products. We talked about how user experience research factors into her work, why it's an important part of the design process, and talk about how she shifted from studying engineering towards her current work.
