Before co-founding the International Civil Society Action Network, Sanam was raised in Iran, fled with her family and became a British citizen, and is now raising two daughters in the US. She is an intellectual, activist, and community builder leading a network of women peacebuilders working to prevent violent extremism by promoting peace, rights and pluralism in over 30 countries.
