This week, Danny and Sam review two films about the tribulations of adolescence. The musical coming-of-age story Sing Street shows that poverty, family dysfunction and mean priests can be overcome by the power of love and wonderfully synthy pop music; in the Turkish family drama Mustang, synthy music is in woefully short supply for five orphaned sisters kept cooped up by their ultra-patriarchal uncle.
