More than anything else, the Apostle Paul's heart ached for God's people to recognize that Jesus Christ is worth it all. Before he launches into the application section of Ephesians (Ch. 4-6), he pours out his soul once more in the hope of convincing us that this gospel of Jesus Christ is better still than we have yet begun to realize. Next week we will consider the incredible prayer that Paul initiated but then paused at the start of v1, but first he endeavors to explain the immeasurable glory of participating with God in the ministry of this gospel. By doing so, he not only helps us make sense of the call for Christians to be faithful in suffering for their faith, but he also exalts the "unsearchable riches of Christ" before our very eyes such that we ourselves might be more captivated in the depths of our own souls to gladly spend our lives in the cause of Christ. Simply put, Paul wanted the Ephesians, and now ourselves, to see that Jesus Christ is worth it all. May God bring this desire to fruition in eac
