Six Tips to Help Preteens Figure Out Who They Are and Who They Want to Become
16/11/2020 Durata: 10minHey, it’s Amy Newmark with your Chicken Soup for the Soul, and today I’m going to introduce you to a new book. I know that many of you remember Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul, which came out about 20 years ago and helped millions of kids get through those preteen years when so much is starting to change for them. So we decided to put together a new book for preteens, one with different stories and with some fun quizzes and inspirational quotes mixed in. We designed it like a magazine inside so it would be more fun for the kids, and we made it smaller than our normal books so it doesn’t seem as daunting a reading experience. That’s why we’re sharing royalties from our Christmas book with Toys for Tots, and today I’m going to share two stories with you from moms who received some needed help in the past at Christmastime. You’re Never Too Old to Find Love
11/11/2020 Durata: 07minHey, it’s Amy Newmark and I’ve got a new book to talk about today, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Age Is Just a Number. Life begins again at 60, right? Well, it does if you have the right attitude. You can downsize and enjoy the freedom of less stuff, you can start a new business or volunteer or change jobs, you can pursue the passions and sports you’ve always wanted to, you can try new things—which is one of my favorite ways to keep yourself feeling youthful and dynamic. And you can find love—for the first time, for the fourth time, whatever it is, our book has plenty of stories that prove that you’re never too old to find love. Learn more about your ad choices. When Dreams Intervene Just in Time
09/11/2020 Durata: 11minHey, it’s Amy Newmark with your Chicken Soup for the Soul, and today I’m sharing two stories from our new book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Listen to Your Dreams. I really believe that you can use your dreams as a kind of GPS for navigating your life. They’re worth listening to, because they can make a big difference in your relationships, your career, your health, and your overall happiness. And sometimes our dreams act like an early warning system, too. Maybe they’re not really warning us, but because we’ve dreamed about a potential accident or natural disaster in advance, we’re prepared for it when it actually happens. That’s what happened to Debbie Sistare. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
