    The Australian Institute of Architects Foundation: 2018 Droga Architect in Residence lecture, Art Gallery of South Australia. 28 April, 2018. The Foundation’s inaugural program, the Droga Architect in Residence, launched in March 2014, is the first of its kind in Australia. The residency programs aims to promote architecture and design through a curated program that serves as a forum for contemporary issues in architecture, urbanism and design. The 2018 Droga residency has been awarded to an emerging Istanbul-based practitioner, Alexis Şanal. Her passion is exploring living culture and built environments that blend contemporary urban realm with timeless physical and natural contexts to create imaginative and meaningful experiences. Her residency proposal focuses on market contexts as public places of exchange within an Australian context.
