With Lisey's Story, King published what he calls his best novel. The novel Cell is an interesting zombie tale that takes your cellphone and turns it into the most dangerous object ever put in human hands (sadly, you don't need a Stephen King story for that statement to be true). While the novel itself is uneven zombie thriller with a sci-fi edge, it still has the beating heart of King as a storyteller.  What happens when you keep the story but lose the storyteller? With Cell, critics claimed this was Stephen King's return to horror. What we have certainly sounds like classic King: an every day object/concept spun into a nightmarish tale.   However, released in the midst of the early 2000s zombie wave that began with 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, does Cell really have that much to say?  Find out this week in the Stephen Kingcast!
